This Performance Series nakiri is forged from a favorite kitchen knife steel that we’ve tested and loved in our own kitchen for many years. The high performance steel blade features a hammer-textured spine with a HWF signature handle construction: a full tang bolster imparts a stout feel while the majority hidden tang adds to the comfort and ease of maintenance while shedding weight. Bevels are polished to an easy-to-maintain satin, rounded choil and spine for comfort. The handle features blue smoke curly maple that was pulled from the Gibson guitars stash, a micarta spacer and a golden sycamore (the same stuff I was milling when I slipped into the band saw with my left hand a couple years ago) bolster.
